Mediated cooperation in table games

The activity selected for this study was building individual puzzles concurrently, which is representative of Equality matching form of sociality. In this case the smart artifact is an adaptive table which displays the ideal distribution of puzzle pieces among players, and reminds the players the symmetrical preservation of resources as they do their moves.

Four participants were asked to build concurrently their own puzzles drawing pieces from the same pool. The smart artifact presented information about the progress of each puzzle and the remaining pool of pieces.
